Tim McGraw and Lady Antebellum

On Saturday, May 22 Rose, Rowena and I went to the Rose Garden to see Tim McGraw and Lady Antebellum. It was awesome! Lady A did an amazing job and I loved every minute of their performance. It was nice seeing Tim McGraw and hearing all of his old songs.

I have to admit, pre-Matt I had zero interest in country music. Now I can't get enough ;-) I have my wonderful husband to thank for that.

We had dinner and drinks at McCormick and Schmicks before the show. Their happy hour menu is pretty good.

Before the concert Jasmin was asking to go to the concert too. I can't wait to take her to her first concert. I am sure that time is right around the corner!

WOW, 1 year and 7 posts later

Well, apparently my attempt at blogging did not go so well. A whole year later I am trying to give it a go again. Hopefully I will make it past 7 posts in one year! LOL

Jasmin is 3 and we are now trying to figure out preschools for the fall. We have a couple options in mind and will be scheduling tours soon. I am hoping that with visiting the schools Jasmin will get even more excited about going to school. She loves being a big-girl and does not want to hear me call her my little baby anymore. *sigh* It has been a very fast ride!

Matt is working in Salem now. Very nice considering last year he spent two hours a day in traffic. Not fun! We get to see and spend more time with him. Almost too much! Just kidding!

Work is going great. I am working more than ever, but still manage to make it home before 4.

Wonderful Weekend

We had a great weekend! Keizer Iris Festival was going on and we were able to get great seats to the parade. It was a beautiful day and Jasmin loved waving to all of the princess cars that went by. Plus, she filled up a bag with toothbrushes, candy and fliers. We let her keep the toothbrushes, while most of the candy ended up in the garbage.

We did find one important thing out: Jasmin is terrified of clowns. Poor girl. Her cousin was extremely helpful and would point them out each time they were going to walk past. Jasmin had time to jump into Daddy's lap and hide her face from those scary clowns.

Sunday was another gorgeous day. We went to the coast and had fun looking at all of the tide pools. Well, Mommy and Daddy had fun doing that. Jasmin on the other hand, proved yet again what a girl she was and wanted nothing to do with them. Everything was 'ucky gwoss.' We were able to get some good views of the new seal pups that were just days old. Then we went crabbing. That was fun, except when Matt got fishhooked somehow. It had to be perfect timing and placement for him to get that hook. I wish I had a picture of his hand when he came and showed me. It was all bloody and ick looking. It's fine now, but looked awful.

Settled in

We are finally getting settled in, about time too since it's been a month!

The big difference that I have noticed is Jasmin now has free reign over her closet. When left alone, she finds all sorts of things to get into. This is what happens when I tell her we are leaving, she runs upstairs to "get ready, I be right back," and appears wearing this.

Apparently, Minnie Mouse ears and rain boots make the outfit!

Moving.......

Oh my! We have moved a good 50% of our 'stuff' from house to condo. Now its the remaining 50% that is going to take us forever to move!

The new place is very nice, a lot more open then the house. Now we will definitely need to get a bigger tv, ours is lost in our living room right now. The views are amazing. Matt said, it feels like we are on vacation. Nope, this is home! I am sure the geese chatter will get old after awhile, but for now it's not too bad.

Jasmin loves her new room. She has a lot more space (more mess for Mommy) and likes running up and down the stairs. She likes waving to the ducks and trying to catch bugs on our walks. That may be the one downside to living right on the lake. The bugs. Eww gwoss.

Sick again!

I swear I have spent more time in the doctors office over the last 4 months than ever. Just got back from taking Jasmin into Urgent Care. She was wheezing and coughing so bad, and just crying that she hurt. I felt awful for her.

They gave her a breathing treatment, prescribed 3 different meds and sent us on our way. I am waiting to hear if she has RSV. The only thing I knew about RSV is that it is really bad in newborns, I didn't think older kids got it. After a little research (thanks Google!) its just a bad cold. Sweet.

So tell me this, if its just a bad cold, why then did the prescriptions cost almost $100??? Or I should say, why does the mask for her new inhaler cost $64 and is not covered by insurance??? I mean really, insurance companies expect a toddler to use an inhaler like an adult would?

Sorry, off on a tangent there. After her breathing treatment the wheezing is much better. I am hoping she is not up all night again. **fingers crossed**

Back from Vacation....

Wow, time really gets away from me sometimes! I was going to do so good, noting all the great and exciting things that happen in our little bubble. Yeah, um not so much!

We just got back from a wonderful and tiring trip to Southern California. I will tell you what, the next time I consider a 10-day roadtrip of nothing but amusement parks--direct me here! I barely had bathroom time, let alone relaxing time!

We arrived at Disneyland on Friday and I was soo excited to see how Jasmin would react to seeing her favorite characters. OF course, my baby did awesome! She wasn't afraid of anything or anyone...except Goofy. Apparently he is just way to tall for little Jasmin.

For the next 9 days we walked our way through California Adventure, Legoland, and Six Flags Discovey Kingdom. I don't think we spent more than an hour in our room during the day. Or I should say, I didn't. While Matt and Jasmin got their daily naps in, guess who was running to the store, or to get food, or doing a load of laundry?? Yup, mommy. Now I really understand why my mom was always tired...she had to do EVERYTHING or NOTHING got done!

We departed Anaheim for Vallejo on Thursday, and Jasmin went from being the perfect traveler to little puke monster. She puked the entire way, I would say about 6 hours worth of vomit. I felt so bad for her.

We thought we would be able to go and get some dinner at Applebees after checking in to our room. We get there, order and wait for our food to arrive. In the meantime, Jasmin is sucking down her milk and coloring. The waitress set her mac and cheese in front of her and not three bites in she gets sick all over herself. It was awful. While I try to help her finish puking all the while trying to contain the mess, what is Matt doing? Stinking still eating! Are you kidding me?? I was like, put the fry down and hand me a napkin...only not so politely.

The next day I did get to relax some. Jasmin was still puking so we were able to spend the morning, just the two of us, in the room just laying around. Nice, even if the room smelled a little :)

As soon as I figure more out on this blogging thing, I will upload pictures and hopefully some video as well.
